Responsibilities For Project Engineer, Underground
- Assist in monitoring project planning, execution and closure
- Assist with permit applications and scheduling inspections
- Establish and maintain project management files and document control
- Research, acquire and collate submittals and Operations & Maintenance manual materials
- Track incoming and outgoing submittals
- Maintain drawing sets and post updates
- Coordinate, log and file project correspondence
- Assist in creating and monitoring field installation work packages
- Assist with implementing and entering Purchase Orders
- Assist in estimating and tracking Potential Change Orders
- Assist in writing and tracking Requests for Information
- Assist with job billing preparation
- Attend regular project status meetings
Requirements For Project Engineer, Underground
- Degree in Construction Management or STEM and/or 2 years underground construction industry experience
- Experience with software-based estimating, accounting, scheduling and project management systems
- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principals
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as a team member
- Must be capable of performing or learning estimating for job change orders
