Founding Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Primer is revolutionizing K-12 education by enabling educators to launch microschools in their communities through PrimerOS. As the Founding Mobile Engineer, you'll lead the development of their mobile app using React Native, which will serve as the primary touchpoint for parents. The role involves creating a seamless mobile experience that brings Apple-level design to education, allowing parents to handle everything from enrollment to tracking student progress.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with Primer's comprehensive end-to-end data model of student learning, transforming this wealth of insights into an intuitive and indispensable mobile experience for families. You'll be working with technologies like React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Relay on the mobile side, while interfacing with a backend built on NodeJS, Prisma, and Postgres.

This is an in-office position based in San Francisco, requiring 5 days per week presence. The role demands someone who can balance technical excellence with rapid execution, has experience scaling mobile applications, and possesses a deep passion for fixing the US education system. You'll be joining a mission-driven team working on what they consider a civilizationally-important problem, with the potential to create unprecedented access to world-class education for normal American families.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 per year, plus equity, along with comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
