This role offers the opportunity to impact millions of students' math learning through engaging gameplay. You'll work on a game where students embark on quests, level up, and collect virtual pets while learning from 1500 math topics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-quality code for educational gameplay
  • Balancing development speed with future-proofing
  • Leading innovative feature initiatives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship
  • Optimizing game performance across devices

The ideal candidate has:

  • 7+ years of game development experience
  • Expertise in live game environments, mobile gaming, and RPGs
  • Deep understanding of game engines like Unity, Unreal, and Godot
  • Proficiency in game development principles and performance optimization
  • Excellent communication skills

Tech stack:

  • Custom HTML5 engine based on PixiJS, developed in TypeScript
  • Electron App editor with React/TypeScript
