Prophecy, a rapidly growing startup, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. As a Data Engineer, you'll troubleshoot complex customer issues, assist with third-party integrations, and provide best practices guidance for the Prophecy IDE.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in B2B enterprise applications, strong skills in Spark, SQL, and cloud technologies, and a passion for problem-solving. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, and Kubernetes, while developing and maintaining advanced knowledge of Prophecy IDE architecture.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to the Prophecy IDE
  • Assist with issues around third-party integrations with the Prophecy environment
  • Reproduce customer bugs in production and sandbox environments
  • Set clear expectations with customers on the next steps
  • Provide best practices guidance and support for solutions developed by customers using Prophecy IDE
  • Deliver proactive suggestions for improving performance and efficiency in customer-specific environments
  • Coordinate with engineering to achieve timely resolution of customer issues and requests
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of company documentation and knowledge articles
  • Be a true proponent of customer advocacy
  • Coach other team members as needed
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of Prophecy IDE architecture and administration
  • Support customers and other customer support team members via chat, email and video conference

Requirements For Data Engineer

Kubernetes
  • 6+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting B2B large enterprise applications
  • Strong work experience in production issue resolution
  • Experience in building, managing, and maintaining all aspects of ETL
  • Expert in Spark architecture and experience with Databricks/Snowflake environment configuration and management
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD technologies
  • Technology experience in SQL, Databricks/ Hadoop/ Spark
  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure, Hadoop, CDP
  • Advanced skills in at least one of: Spark, SQL, Airflow, Kubernetes
  • Experience in 'hands-on' technical support and escalation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to break down complex technical concepts
  • Creative attitude toward problem-solving
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-moving startup environment
  • B Tech or above degree in CS or equivalent
