Senior Staff Software Engineer

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Prove, you'll join at a critical inflection point in the company's growth trajectory. You'll make a significant impact as a key technical leader within Prove's engineering team, playing a crucial role in bringing new and innovative products to market. With senior management visibility, you'll help define and execute the technical direction for engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Influence and drive novel technical changes across multiple teams
• Bridge the gap between technical contributions and business decisions
• Lead design and architecture for new and existing software components
• Conduct architecture reviews and advocate for simplicity and cohesive APIs
• Implement scalable solutions and take end-to-end ownership of new code
• Represent teams in cross-functional discussions and drive strategic initiatives
• Champion engineering excellence and mentor less senior engineers
• Work directly with Product to understand and refine requirements
• Participate in shaping company strategy, culture, and operations

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience building high-volume data-driven SaaS systems
• 5+ years experience in architect or technical leadership roles
• Expert-level development experience in multiple coding languages and software stacks
• Track record of designing and building major components of large-scale SaaS solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create simple solutions for complex problems
• Solid knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization techniques
• Excellent communication skills
