Pulumi is seeking a passionate Senior Technical Content Engineer to educate their growing community on infrastructure as code best practices and maximize the use of the Pulumi platform. This role involves creating high-quality, deeply technical developer documentation, enhancing customer productivity, and improving community satisfaction. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and community teams to ensure top-notch documentation, examples, tutorials, and blogs. Key responsibilities include authoring comprehensive documentation materials, writing technical blog posts and whitepapers, creating technical curriculum and content, maintaining consistency in Pulumi's style guide, conducting peer reviews, engaging with the community, and defining infrastructure as code best practices. The role spans Pulumi's entire open source platform, covering multiple clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes) and programming languages. Ideal candidates should have 4+ years of software or DevOps engineering experience, strong technical writing skills, empathy for developers, excellent communication abilities, and experience with relevant technologies like Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms. Responsibilities For Senior Technical Content Engineer
- Author, manage, and update comprehensive documentation materials
- Write blog posts or whitepapers on architectural guidance and infrastructure as code concepts
- Create technical curriculum and content for customer education
- Improve and maintain consistency in Pulumi's style guide
- Conduct peer reviews for content submitted by other technical authors
- Engage with the community to provide help and ensure user needs are met
- Define, document, and share infrastructure as code best practices
- Create open source, reusable Pulumi components
Requirements For Senior Technical Content Engineer
- 4+ years as a software or devops engineer, with minimum of 1 year documenting products for a developer audience
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing domains
- Deep sense of empathy for developers
- Excellent interpersonal, written, editorial and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
