Consulting Pre-Sales Systems Engineer - Federal Intelligence

Pure Storage, a leader in data storage and flash technology, is seeking a Federal Consulting Pre-Sales Systems Engineer for their Federal Intelligence team. This role is crucial in understanding customers' unique challenges and tailoring Pure Storage solutions to meet their specific needs. The ideal candidate will act as a technical expert during the sales process, showcasing the value of Pure's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a role model and mentor for other Systems Engineers
• Provide technical leadership and support alongside SEM
• Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making factors
• Create social media content such as blogs and posts
• Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
• Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue growth
• Refine sales strategy and tactics
• Lead technical responsibilities and demonstrate domain expertise
• Conduct presentations, solution demonstrations, and EBC activities
• Translate customer business needs into innovative solutions
• Contribute to or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Promote interoperability and performance testing/validation
• Liaise with product and technical marketing teams
• Stay current with market trends and competitive landscape

Requirements:

• BS in CS, EE, or equivalent technical degree/experience
• Pre-sales experience in the Federal space
• TS/SCI Clearance
• 8+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications
• Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
• Familiarity with modern web architecture (LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up, AWS, microservices)
• Strong knowledge of storage architectures, digital transformation, and cloud technologies
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed network environments
• Knowledge of VMware, networking, and storage-intensive applications
