Description For Manufacturing Test Engineer

Pure Storage is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer for their hyperscale line of business. This role is critical in ensuring the performance, quality, and reliability of storage products by developing and implementing robust test strategies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers to bring new products from prototype to mass production, focusing on optimizing test processes for scalability and efficiency in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating on New Product Introduction (NPI) for NAND Flash storage products
  • Performing test coverage analysis and improving test infrastructure
  • Providing Design for Test (DFT) guidelines
  • Troubleshooting complex PCBAs and systems
  • Developing and implementing automated testing solutions
  • Supporting production test teams and analyzing failure metrics

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven NPI expertise, preferably in flash storage products
  • Strong technical background in production and test processes
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, Labview, or similar programming languages
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging
  • Proficiency with hardware lab equipment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel 15-20% to global manufacturing sites
