Responsibilities For Pre-Sales Systems Engineer
- Develop understanding of customer's business drivers and decision making
- Partner with account managers and channel partners to drive revenue growth
- Deliver technical product and architecture presentations
- Lead evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations
- Capture requirements and translate customer needs into solutions
- Contribute to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
- Liaison with product and technical marketing
- Stay current with competition and market trends
- Create technical materials like whitepapers and presentations
Requirements For Pre-Sales Systems Engineer
- BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience
- Pre-sales experience required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications
- Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Knowledge of modern web architecture (LAMP stack, AWS)
- Superior knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
- Experience with Linux, NFS file systems and distributed network environment
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud
- Knowledge of VMware, networking, TCP/IP
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with containers, kubernetes and microservices
- Knowledge of storage-intensive applications and databases
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
