Software Development Engineer in Test, Portworx

Pure Storage is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Portworx QA team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality Portworx suite of products. The ideal candidate will contribute to clean code, be customer-oriented, and prioritize quality.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to multiple simultaneous releases
• Develop test plans and strategies for multiple releases
• Identify testing gaps and provide inputs to improve quality
• Develop and maintain automation test suites
• Review test automation scripts (Golang preferred) and library PRs
• Ensure product/feature quality and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with dev/test/devops teams across geographies
• Work with QA architect to maintain and manage Automation test suites
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines are well-defined and executed as per the test strategy

Requirements:

• 4 to 15 years of software testing experience
• Strong Python/Golang programming skills
• Experience with cloud native k8s platforms like AKS/EKS/GKE (mandatory)
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS/Object storage products
• Ability to develop test plans
• Ability to handle multiple products/feature releases
• Incredible ability to develop test plans, follow through, meet delivery timelines, while adhering to highest quality standards
• Eye for detail and ability to foresee risks and mitigate them
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Out-of-the-box thinking to improve quality and effectiveness of the product
