Network Engineer L2

Pythian is seeking a Network Engineer L2 to join their Site Reliability Engineering – Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience designing and implementing multi-vendor network solutions.

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for actively contributing to design and architecture discussions, handling enterprise network operations, escalations, and severity cases. You should have a passion for Routing, Switching, and Security, and be able to provide 24/7 support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex networking solutions in traditional data center environments across multiple global sites
• Working with Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and switches
• Implementing and troubleshooting Software Defined Networking (SD-WAN)
• Configuring and troubleshooting various network protocols and technologies
• Handling enterprise LAN and WAN troubleshooting and configuration
• Managing Cisco ASA/FTD/FMC firewall configurations and security policies

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in multi-vendor network solutions
• Excellent knowledge of networking standards, protocols, and technologies
• Qualifications in Routing & Switching, Security, or SD-WAN
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• CCNA or CCNP Certifications (asset)
• Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Access Points and AeroHive Access Points (asset)
