Qode is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the organization's network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in network security or infrastructure engineering, with strong expertise in Linux systems, firewall management, and cloud security. You'll be responsible for implementing security measures, managing VPNs, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring the overall security of both on-premises and cloud environments. Responsibilities For Network Security Engineer
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other network security appliances
- Implement and manage network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control policies
- Perform Linux server administration, hardening, and regular maintenance
- Provide support for technical issues including remote desktop troubleshooting
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate vulnerability risks using tools like Nessus, Qualys
- Collaborate on design and implementation of secure, scalable network architectures
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting processes
Requirements For Network Security Engineer
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security best practices
- Proficient in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat) and server hardening techniques
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing concepts
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions (CrowdStrike, Symantec)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network security or infrastructure engineering
