Qode is seeking a Remote Systems Engineer for a contract position extending through December 31st with the possibility of extension. This role focuses on Active Directory cleanup and Windows system administration in a large enterprise environment. The position offers competitive hourly compensation between $45-$55/hour.
The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of Windows System Administration experience and strong expertise in PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policy management. You'll be responsible for managing Windows infrastructure, implementing automation solutions, and maintaining system stability across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities include managing Windows servers, implementing automation using tools like PowerShell, SCCM, and Ansible, and collaborating with various IT teams. You'll also contribute to infrastructure design, documentation, and system improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level systems engineer looking to work with enterprise-scale infrastructure and modern automation tools. The role offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of critical infrastructure management projects.

Responsibilities For Systems Engineer
- Management of Windows Servers in a large enterprise environment (Virtualization, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc)
- Coordinate/collaborate with multiple IT teams within a large Infrastructure
- Server builds using automated processes
- Provide operational and technical support to ensure ongoing stability to the server environments
- Contribute to the IT infrastructure design and leading in server implementations
- Contribute to the technical support of the server environment and applications
- Audit system resources
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
- Schedule, test, and implement enhancements or new releases of the server Operating Systems
Requirements For Systems Engineer
- 4+ years of experience with Windows System Administration and/or Engineering
- Experience with PowerShell, Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO)
- Experience working with programming/scripting Languages such as PowerShell
- Great communication skills
- Familiarity with Orchestration technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SCORCH
- Experience with patching and application deployment via automated tools such as SCCM, Tanium, Ansible
