Core Platform Software Test Engineer - Cork, Ireland

As a Core Platform Software Test Engineer in Cork, Ireland, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary test team responsible for technologies including USB, PMIC, PCIe, Hypervisor, Boot, Clocks and Storage. This role involves balancing hands-on testing with building sophisticated automated test systems for all stages of SW delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and develop test strategies
• Interface with cross-functional teams to review test plans and gather information for test development and automation
• Debug test failures and collaborate on issue isolation and resolution
• Work with other technology teams to leverage common test methods and frameworks
• Independently deliver quality output on assigned tasks with supervision
• Communicate effectively about day-to-day activities
• Exercise creativity to troubleshoot technical problems

Required Skills:

• Strong C/C++/Java/Python programming skills
• Experience in System Software and/or low-level Firmware validation
• Solid knowledge of SW Quality, ARM architecture, Linux, RTOS programming
• Strong understanding of test methodology
• Good understanding of the software development cycle
• Experience in test automation development, source code management, continuous integration, and test framework design
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and team working skills
