CorePlatform SoC Infrastructure Engineer - Cork, Ireland

Qualcomm is seeking a CorePlatform SoC Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Cork, Ireland. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded software development for a global leader in wireless technology and 5G innovation.

As a CorePlatform SoC Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting low-level device drivers that directly control hardware components such as digital clocks, voltage regulators, GPIOs, and interrupts. You'll collaborate closely with hardware designers to understand, improve, and implement hardware/software interfaces, working comfortably across both domains.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing embedded software for a range of low-level device drivers
2. Collaborating with hardware designers on hardware/software interfaces
3. Writing software primarily in C for ARM and DSP based processors
4. Creating additional automation and tooling using Python

The ideal candidate should have 1-5 years of experience in embedded software development, with strong skills in C and Python. Familiarity with ARM and/or RISCV architecture, power management software, and Qualcomm products (MSMs, MDMs, etc.) is preferred but not required.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
• 1-5 years of experience in embedded software development
• Proficiency in C and Python

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Lauterbach Trace32/JTAG debugging
• Familiarity with ARM and/or RISCV architecture
• Knowledge of power management software
• Experience with Qualcomm products (MSMs, MDMs, etc.)
• Master's degree in a relevant field
