Description For GPU Systems Software Engineer

Qualcomm's graphics system team in Cork is seeking a talented GPU Systems Software Engineer to join their innovative team developing software for next-generation graphics processors (GPU). This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of mobile GPU technology.

The role involves working closely with top mobile GPU experts, systems architects, hardware designers, and verification engineers throughout the development lifecycle. You'll be responsible for delivering device drivers and tools for prototyping, exploring, and verifying new features for next-generation GPUs.

As a GPU Systems Software Engineer, you'll need to develop a deep understanding of Qualcomm's Adreno hardware architecture and its impact on graphics APIs. The position requires strong C/C++ programming skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with graphics APIs like OpenGL ES, Vulkan, or DirectX.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 3 years working with modern graphics APIs. You should be comfortable mentoring junior engineers and working in a collaborative environment. Experience with embedded systems, ARM architecture, and game engine development would be highly valuable.
