Description For Graduate/Junior Microcontroller Sub-system Design Engineer

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a Graduate/Junior Microcontroller Sub-system Design Engineer to join their team in Cork, Ireland. This role is part of the Microcontroller Sub-System IP team, which is crucial in enabling embedded processing solutions across various functions and products at Qualcomm. The team focuses on security, power management, and other system-on-chip (SoC) functions across multiple business units including IoT, Mobile, Auto, XR, and Compute.

As a Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing micro-architecture for digital blocks, developing RTL code, debugging issues, creating documentation, and optimizing designs for key metrics. You'll work in a diverse, multicultural team environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams including DFT, Implementation, Verification, Emulation, and Firmware teams.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 1-2 years of ASIC design experience preferred (though fresh graduates are encouraged to apply). Additional preferred skills include familiarity with processor/microcontroller system design, scripting languages like Python or Perl, and knowledge of ISAs such as ARM THUMB or RISC-V.
