Microcontroller Sub-system Senior Design Engineer/ Staff Design Engineer

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a talented Microcontroller Sub-system Senior Design Engineer to join their innovative team in Cork, Ireland. This role is crucial in enabling embedded processing solutions across various functions and products at Qualcomm, dealing with security, power management, and other system-on-chip (SoC) functions across multiple business units.

As a Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge digital designs, working on complex projects that span IoT, Mobile, Auto, XR, and Compute sectors. Your expertise will be vital in designing micro-architecture for both simple and complex digital blocks, developing RTL code using industry best practices, and optimizing designs for key metrics such as area, power, and performance.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of ASIC design experience, along with deep knowledge of processor/microcontroller system design and familiarity with ISAs such as ARM THUMB or RISC-V. You'll work in a collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams including DFT, Implementation, Verification, Emulation, and Firmware teams.
