Description For System Hardware Validation Engineer - Cork, Ireland

Qualcomm is seeking a System Hardware Validation Engineer to join their SVE (System Validation Emulation) Team in Cork, Ireland. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement at their state-of-the-art office in Penrose Dock, Cork. The position involves working on leading technologies such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, where you'll be part of a critical team responsible for ensuring high-quality functional products reach millions of customers quickly.

As a System Hardware Validation Engineer, you'll collaborate with a team of expert low-level validation engineers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as Synthetic OS, DDR memories, sensors, security, CPUs and caching, Nucleus RTOS, and embedded systems. Your primary focus will be on testing Qualcomm's next-generation SoCs through developing and porting test software to evaluate new hardware IPs.

You'll work closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers, and verification engineers. Responsibilities For System Hardware Validation Engineer - Cork, Ireland

  • Delivery of low-level hardware drivers for Qualcomm Snapdragon Subsystems
  • Manage validation and testing of the driver/hardware
  • Migrate drivers to new platforms as required
  • Drive innovation in software use cases
  • On-going code re-factoring
  • Test plan development and execution

Requirements For System Hardware Validation Engineer - Cork, Ireland

Linux
  • Experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly
  • Excellent knowledge of ARM and RISC V processors
  • Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies
  • Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions
  • Experience with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce)
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong debug skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science or related field
