API Gateway & AWS - Senior Developer

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apigee API Gateway Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our API infrastructure using Apigee, including Apigee Hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage API solutions using Apigee API Gateway, including Apigee Hybrid deployment models.
• Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other stakeholders to define API specifications and requirements, adhering to OpenAPI Spec standards.
• Configure and optimize Apigee policies, proxies, and extensions for optimal performance.
• Integrate Apigee with AWS services and manage API gateways within an EKS environment.
• Implement automation for deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient API lifecycle management.
• Ensure the security of APIs by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API gateway performance issues, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in API management and security.

The role also involves additional responsibilities in leadership, mentorship, and strategic decision-making within the team.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
