Description For AR / VR Architecture Power and performance systems engineer

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced AR/VR Architecture Power and Performance Systems Engineer to join their XR System Architecture Team. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality applications through the development of next-generation Snapdragon SoC technologies.

The position combines deep technical expertise in power analysis and system architecture with cutting-edge AR/VR technology development. You'll be responsible for analyzing and optimizing power consumption and performance across various domains of the Snapdragon SoC, working with state-of-the-art XR algorithms and applications.

Key responsibilities include conducting detailed power and performance analysis, characterizing XR algorithm performance, managing lab resources, and developing automation tools. You'll work with various system components including power domains, voltage rails, and performance metrics while considering the unique requirements of AR/VR applications.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in SoC architecture, power analysis, and performance optimization, combined with knowledge of AR/VR technologies and computer vision algorithms. Experience with system modeling, on-silicon analysis, and programming in C/C++ or Python is essential.

Requirements For AR / VR Architecture Power and performance systems engineer

Python
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4+ years experience in power analysis, SoC architecture
  • Experience in conducting power/performance analysis
  • Knowledge of graphics pipeline, computer vision pipelines, machine learning methods
  • Knowledge of AR/VR technologies and CV/ML based algorithms
  • Experience with system level modeling and on-silicon analysis
