Qualcomm, a global leader in wireless technology innovation, is seeking a Senior/Staff Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role sits at the intersection of automotive technology and cybersecurity, focusing on developing and implementing secure solutions for automotive systems. The position requires expertise in ISO21434 cyber security standards and ISO 26262 functional safety standards.

The role involves working with cutting-edge automotive technologies, including ADAS, Autonomy, and Infotainment systems, while ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place. Responsibilities For Automotive cybersecurity engineer – Sr/Staff

  • Develop/enhance hardware development process meeting cyber security standards
  • Provide training on ISO 21434/ISO 26262
  • Facilitate and review TARA and VARA
  • Conduct cybersecurity audits and assessments
  • Work with SoC Design teams, IP vendors, Software teams
  • Participate in external and customer cybersecurity audits
  • Maintain knowledge of Automotive Industry cybersecurity best practices
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders for Cybersecurity and Functional Safety

Requirements For Automotive cybersecurity engineer – Sr/Staff

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years Systems Engineering / VLSI design or related work experience
  • Knowledge of product development flow and validation
  • Experience with automotive quality processes: ISO 21434, ISO 26262, TARA, VARA
  • Experience with DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, 8D, quality agreements
  • Knowledge of AEC-Q100 requirements, ISO9001, IATF 16949
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Structured problem-solving capability
