Qualcomm is seeking a Camera SW Customer Engineer to join their QCT Application Engineering Group in Beijing, China. This role involves supporting customers with embedded software and systems development, assisting OEMs with designs, providing training, debugging, and optimizing software integration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of advanced camera/imaging technologies and be involved in product definition and feature development for smartphones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to OEMs for design, development, and debugging of Qualcomm reference designs software
- Quickly assimilate onto existing projects, understand software driver architecture, and work closely with external customers
- Enable different camera solutions and use cases for Qualcomm customers
- Work with customers to implement new camera features and algorithms
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience (or Master's with 1+ year of experience)
- Strong background in camera module and bring-up related areas
- Understanding of image processing pipeline and camera hardware architecture
- Familiarity with Android/Linux driver architecture and debugging skills
- Strong software development skills in C and C++
- Knowledge of real-time microprocessor-based embedded programming and embedded real-time operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in core-level multimedia devices
- Understanding of computer system architecture
- Experience with Linux/Android development
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- DSP/CV algorithm background
