Qualcomm Korea YH is seeking a Senior Camera Software Engineer to join their innovative camera software team. This role is crucial in developing and optimizing camera software solutions for Snapdragon chipsets, focusing on delivering best-in-class performance, power efficiency, and image quality.
The position involves working across all layers of the camera software stack, from Android Camera HAL and/or Windows AVS/KMD/MFT Camera implementation to low-level hardware control. You'll be at the forefront of mobile camera technology, working with cutting-edge components including 3A (auto exposure, auto focus, and auto white balance), image signal processors, and camera sensors.
As a Senior Camera Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing new features, supporting new hardware implementations, debugging complex issues, and optimizing software for performance and power efficiency. You'll also work on developing unit tests and collaborate closely with partners and OEMs to ensure successful integration and deployment of camera solutions.
The role offers exposure to various technologies including motion sensors, video encoders, DSPs, GPU, and display systems, providing a comprehensive understanding of mobile camera systems. Responsibilities For Camera SW Engineer, Sr.
- Design, develop, debug, implement, and verify camera software including Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, Image Quality, and Tuning Tools
- Design and architect IQ modules, algorithms, and feature decompositions
- Ensure image quality, software conformance tests, and performance metrics are met
- Collaborate with customers and team members throughout project lifecycle
- Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions
Requirements For Camera SW Engineer, Sr.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field with 2+ years experience
- 2+ years programming experience in C, C++, Python
- 2+ years of relevant camera software experience
- Knowledge of computer architecture and embedded systems
- Experience with Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, and Image Quality
