Qualcomm Korea YH is seeking a talented Camera Software Engineer to join their innovative team working on cutting-edge mobile camera technology. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with Snapdragon chipsets and develop sophisticated camera software solutions.

The position involves working across all layers of the camera software stack, from Android Camera HAL and/or Windows AVS/KMD/MFT Camera implementation to low-level hardware control. You'll be responsible for designing and developing new features, supporting new hardware, debugging issues, optimizing software for performance and power, and developing unit tests.

As a Camera Software Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge technology including 3A (auto exposure, auto focus, and auto white balance), image signal processors, camera sensors, and integration with motion sensors, video encoders, DSPs, GPU, and display. This role offers exposure to the complete camera software ecosystem and the opportunity to work with advanced imaging technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or electrical engineering, with specific experience in camera software development. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, along with a solid understanding of embedded systems and computer architecture.

Responsibilities For Camera SW Engineer, up to Staff

  • Design, develop, debug, implement, and verify camera software (Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, Image Quality, Tuning Tools, etc.)
  • Design and architect IQ modules, algorithms, and feature decompositions
  • Ensure image quality, software conformance tests, and performance metrics are met
  • Collaborate with customers and team members throughout project lifecycle
  • Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions

Requirements For Camera SW Engineer, up to Staff

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years programming (C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems knowledge
  • 2+ years of relevant camera software experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering preferred
