Description For Chipset Integrated Circuit Program Manager, Staff

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff-level Chipset Integrated Circuit Program Manager to join their team in San Diego. This role represents a unique opportunity to lead complex semiconductor development programs at one of the world's leading technology companies.

The position involves developing, defining, and executing plans of record for digital and mixed-signal IC chips and chipsets. You'll be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks while interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. The role requires monitoring budget/spending, ensuring on-time delivery, and driving achievement of program milestones.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring 10+ years of program management experience, with specific expertise in digital SOC and mixed-signal baseband/RF chips. Your experience working with senior leadership and in large matrixed organizations will be crucial for success in this position. Strong technical background is essential, as direct semiconductor development/manufacturing experience is required.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop goals and set priorities
  • Manage multiple small programs or a single complex program
  • Develop and manage program Plan of Record
  • Track and manage key metrics and escalate issues
  • Manage and prioritize work of the program team
  • Identify program issues/risks and create risk mitigation plans
  • Promote program vision and objectives
  • Support process adoption and improvement

Requirements For Chipset Integrated Circuit Program Manager, Staff

Linux
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of Program Management or related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with digital SOC and/or mixed-signal baseband and/or RF chips
  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership
  • 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
  • 2+ years of experience with program management tools
  • Direct experience in semiconductor development and/or manufacturing
