Description For CPU DFT Engineer

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CPU DFT Engineer to join their Data Center team in developing high-performance, energy-efficient server solutions. As a DFT Engineer, you'll collaborate with chip architects, designers, implementation engineers, and test engineers to verify DFT and DFD architecture, implementation, and test plans for both mixed signal and digital VLSI designs. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on a ground-up implementation of a new chip architecture, allowing significant input into the design process.

The position requires strong expertise in digital ASIC design, test methodologies, and debugging, with hands-on experience using commercial test generation tools for large complex designs. You'll be responsible for creating and overseeing test vectors, validating DFT requirements, and working closely with designers to enhance test coverage and debug capabilities.

Responsibilities For CPU DFT Engineer

  • Create test vectors or oversee their creation
  • Validate DFT requirements are being met
  • Work with designers to increase test coverage, debug observability and flexibility
  • Verify post-PD designs meet DFT requirements
  • Work with test personnel, stepping in to do run tests when needed

Requirements For CPU DFT Engineer

Python
Java
  • BA/BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of practical experience
  • Strong fundamentals in digital ASIC design; experience using Verilog or VHDL
  • Experience with ASIC test, DFT, and debug
  • 5+ years of practical experience with test or DFT
  • Experience using the Mentor Tessent tools
  • Experience with defining and implementing SOC level verification on large designs
  • Experience in TCL, Perl/Python and Shell scripting
