Description For CPU Performance Modeling Architect

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CPU Performance Modeling Architect to join their innovative team. This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge CPU architecture and performance optimization, where you'll be responsible for designing and modeling next-generation CPU features.

As a CPU Performance Modeling Architect, you'll contribute to various aspects of CPU architecture including fetch, decode, branch prediction, renaming, execute units, SIMD, load/store, MMU, caches, and retire functionality. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks, conduct detailed analysis of workloads, and propose innovative solutions to enhance CPU performance.

The role requires a strong background in computer architecture, with hands-on experience in performance modeling and simulation. You'll be working with a team of experienced engineers, contributing to the development of next-generation CPU architectures while having access to advanced tools and technologies.

Requirements For CPU Performance Modeling Architect

Python
  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Architecture, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ year of CPU Architecture experience
  • 1+ year experience with programming (C, C++)
  • Strong CPU architecture and micro-architecture knowledge
  • Experience working in a performance modeling environment
  • Proficiency in C, C++ and scripting languages (Perl or Python)
  • Knowledge of common performance benchmarks and workloads
