In this role, you will work with the CPU microarchitecture and RTL design team to implement designs that meet aggressive power, area, and performance goals using industry-standard tools and flows. You'll be responsible for understanding specifications and design trade-offs in pipeline and structure sizing, performing feasibility studies, and synthesizing Verilog RTL into gate-level designs.
Key responsibilities include optimizing designs at various stages from RTL to GDS, performing SynthPlace & Route operations, and validating designs for functional and electrical robustness. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of multi-core CPU operations.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CPU microarchitecture, experience with deep submicron process technology nodes, and solid understanding of industry-standard tools for synthesis, place & route, and tapeout flows. Knowledge of high-performance and low-power implementation methods is essential.
