As a CPU Physical Design Engineer, you'll collaborate with microarchitecture and RTL design teams to implement designs that meet aggressive power, area, and performance goals using industry-standard tools and flows. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the CPU microarchitecture team, performing feasibility studies, synthesizing Verilog RTL into gate-level designs, and optimizing designs at various stages from RTL to GDS.
The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of CPU microarchitecture, experience with deep submicron process technology nodes, and expertise in synthesis, place and route, and signoff timing/power analysis are essential.
