Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced CPU Systems RTL Engineer to join their team in either Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge CPU development for high-performance, low-power devices.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in CPU RTL development, offering a competitive salary range of $167,000 to $278,500. As a CPU Systems RTL Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of microprocessor architecture, working on critical areas including timers, interrupt controllers, power management architectures, and debug/trace systems.

The role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, as you'll be involved from early architectural exploration through to detailed implementation. You'll work alongside chip architects to conceive micro-architecture and contribute to product definition from the early stages of the product lifecycle. The position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and contribute to groundbreaking innovations in CPU design.

Key responsibilities include performance optimization, RTL development, verification support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Python
  • MS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of CPU RTL or similar experience
  • Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture
  • Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications
  • Understanding of low power microarchitecture techniques
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Perl or Python
