Responsibilities For Cyber Threat Research Engineer, Senior
- Supporting 24x7 operations with night and weekend shifts on rotation
- Monitoring and triaging security events from multiple sources
- Handling incidents like social engineering attacks, malware, DDoS, data exfiltration, and ransomware
- Managing initial incident triage and escalation to Tier 2
- Analyzing malware samples and conducting reverse engineering
- Compiling and presenting malware intelligence to stakeholders
- Maintaining ticketing system and ensuring timely issue resolution
- Collaborating with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams
- Staying current with latest malware trends and security updates
Requirements For Cyber Threat Research Engineer, Senior
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in security event investigations
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player abilities
- Good awareness of current and developing security threats and technologies
- Experience in 24x7 SOC or CDC operations (desired)
- Ability to transport and install equipment up to 40 lbs
