Data Management Engineer, Senior Staff (m/f/d) - Qualcomm Unterschleissheim

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Architect/Technical Manager (m/f/d) to lead and optimize its next generation data processing platform for Autonomous Driving commercialization efforts. The goal is to design and build a highly scalable, efficient, and modular data platform used by engineers for automotive re-simulation pipelines, machine learning workloads, data annotation, in-depth data analysis/analytics, and result visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software and data engineers across time zones
• Work with team leads to understand use cases, requirements, and bottlenecks
• Build proof-of-concepts to validate proposed designs
• Analyze daily monitoring of pipeline health, execution flows, and cost optimizations
• Lead implementation of containerized workloads, microservices, distributed messaging systems, and scalable distributed processing services
• Drive automotive software engineering best practices
• Support platform users and interface with global customers
• Collaborate with Product Management, Program Management, and handle budgeting and resource responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 11+ years of experience, OR
• Master's degree with 9+ years of experience, OR
• PhD with suitable experience
• Industry experience in designing scalable solutions for Automotive/ADAS or AI/Robotics
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure
• Expertise in infrastructure processes, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and data integration tools
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java
