Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Architect/Technical Manager (m/f/d) to lead and optimize its next generation data processing platform for Autonomous Driving commercialization efforts. The goal is to design and build a highly scalable, efficient, and modular data platform used by engineers for automotive re-simulation pipelines, machine learning workloads, data annotation, in-depth data analysis/analytics, and result visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software and data engineers across time zones
- Work with team leads to understand use cases, requirements, and bottlenecks
- Build proof-of-concepts to validate proposed designs
- Analyze daily monitoring of pipeline health, execution flows, and cost optimizations
- Lead implementation of containerized workloads, microservices, distributed messaging systems, and scalable distributed processing services
- Drive automotive software engineering best practices
- Support platform users and interface with global customers
- Collaborate with Product Management, Program Management, and handle budgeting and resource responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 11+ years of experience, OR
- Master's degree with 9+ years of experience, OR
- PhD with suitable experience
- Industry experience in designing scalable solutions for Automotive/ADAS or AI/Robotics
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure
- Expertise in infrastructure processes, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and data integration tools
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java
