Qualcomm Engineering IT group is seeking a Design Sync Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role involves managing and optimizing the DesignSync environment across multiple QCT Design centers worldwide. The position requires expertise in SCM environments, Linux/Unix systems, and programming skills in Shell, Python, and Tcl.

  • Installation and implementation of DesignSync flows
  • Creating and Configuring DesignSync servers
  • Managing growth of Cache spaces
  • DesignSync Project deployment activities
  • Writing scripts for infrastructure activities
  • Troubleshooting issues in the DesignSync environment
  • Administer storage pool
  • Monitor schedule jobs
  • Manage DesignSync access control
  • Setup and manage ClearCase licensing
  • Policy enforcements using triggers
  • Server upgrades and maintenance
  • Training users in DesignSync and SCM concepts

Requirements For Design Sync Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years IT relevant work experience OR 10+ years IT relevant work experience without degree
  • In-depth hands-on experience in SCM environment in Solaris and Linux platforms
  • Experience with Linux performance tools
  • Experience working in geographically distributed team setup
  • Good communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with UNIX SHELL, Python, and Tcl programming
