Description For Design Verification Engineer, Senior Staff

As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives digital transformation to help create a smarter, connected future for all. As a Qualcomm GPU Engineer, you may architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage advanced GPU knowledge and experience to architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
  • Build functional model simulations, develop software, and test various graphics to verify correctness and ensure highly advanced performance and power goals are met.
  • Design, program, and run complex, comprehensive graphics tests using tools for large subsystems to ensure high-quality functionality, performance, power, and stability and identify issues.
  • Facilitate collaboration with third-party vendors, external users, and across organizations to guide implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.
  • Develop critical driver and compiler software to support the GPU products.
  • Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex GPU projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output; review technical documentation for junior engineers.

This position requires working independently with minimal supervision, providing supervision/guidance to other team members, and making significant decisions that affect work beyond the immediate work group. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to convey complex information and influence key organizational decisions.

Qualcomm offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual discretionary bonus program, opportunity for annual RSU grants, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
