Description For Display System Modeling Engineer

Qualcomm Canada ULC is seeking a Display System Modeling Engineer to join their team working on Display Processing Unit (DPU) technology. The DPU is a crucial component of mobile system on chip processors, responsible for compositing final images from various streams and handling display-related data processing.

The role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across different sites, working with architects, designers, and verification engineers. You'll be responsible for defining and implementing DPU models, integrating display IP Cmodels, and working closely with SoC architects and display teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages, with experience in debugging complex system models. You'll need excellent analytical and communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.

Responsibilities For Display System Modeling Engineer

  • Working with DPU architecture teams to define, document and implement DPU models
  • Integrate display IP Cmodels to the display ASIC verification environment
  • Collaborate with SoC architects, display hardware and software teams
  • Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks and improvements
  • Present analysis results and provide recommendations
  • Provides software configuration libraries

Requirements For Display System Modeling Engineer

Java

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years experience with C/C++ Programming Language
  • 3+ years experience with scripting languages (Perl or Python)
  • Experience debugging complex system C models
  • Critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
