Description For Ecosystem Power Test Engineer

Qualcomm China is seeking an Ecosystem Power Test Engineer to join their Systems Test Engineering team in Chengdu. This role focuses on Arm-based Windows platform power test execution, covering DOU (Day of Usage), Gaming, and other use cases. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep understanding of system architecture, working with components including CPU, GPU, NPU, DDR, Multimedia, WIFI, and Modem.

The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience in system testing or software development, with strong knowledge of Windows power management and system performance. They will be responsible for conducting comprehensive power tests, analyzing system behavior, and optimizing test procedures. The role requires expertise in Windows processor power management, ACPI concepts, and familiarity with performance analysis tools.

Responsibilities For Ecosystem Power Test Engineer

  • Support product testing and providing reliable test data and reports across different functional teams
  • Perform power breakdown for various user scenarios including Video Streaming, Web Browsing, Office, Gaming, etc
  • Identify platform power issues and provide initial analysis
  • Support internal feature development testing and participate in feature design
  • Optimize test procedures and develop test cases
  • Support customer-reported issues
  • Master power related knowledge and identify potential power optimization

Requirements For Ecosystem Power Test Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-10 years of system testing or software development experience
  • Good knowledge in Windows power management
  • Good knowledge in system power/performance
  • Experience with Windows power/performance test and ETL log/performance tools
  • Good Knowledge in Arm/X86 CPU architecture
  • Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
