Description For Engineer - Build & Integration

As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives digital transformation to help create a smarter, connected future for all. As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will design, develop, create, and modify test cases and validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Software Test Engineers collaborate across various engineering teams and functions to design and implement test plans.

This role focuses on Build & Integration engineering, with a strong emphasis on Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery practices. You'll be working with various tools and technologies to ensure smooth software development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and automate test plans and tools
  • Work with Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software development processes
  • Utilize scripting skills to automate tasks and improve efficiency

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of IT experience
  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD practices, processes, and tools
  • Good understanding of SDLC and hands-on development skills with C, C++
  • Expertise in orchestration tools such as Electric Commander, Jenkins
  • Proficiency in SCM, build, and code quality tools like Git, Perforce, Gerrit, and Klockwork
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, and Shell scripts
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix/VM environments
  • Experience with AWS cloud
  • Knowledge of C#, Angular JS
