Description For Engineer - Customer Quality Engineering

Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, Y.K. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineering Engineer to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. This role serves as the primary interface between Qualcomm and strategic customers for all quality-related matters in the semiconductor industry.

The position requires a strong background in semiconductor quality engineering, with responsibilities ranging from managing customer quality issues to providing technical manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in semiconductor quality functions and demonstrated expertise in quality tools and problem-solving techniques.

Key responsibilities include acting as the focal point for quality-related communications, coordinating issues across customer locations, providing technical support for manufacturing optimization, and supporting customer part qualification processes. The role demands strong technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, IC testing, and reliability principles.

Responsibilities For Engineer - Customer Quality Engineering

  • Focal point for Quality questions, issues and communication with assigned strategic customers
  • Coordinate customer Quality issues and communications across all customer locations
  • Front-line customer communication channel for Quality, reliability and manufacturing issues
  • Provide technical support to customers for better manufacturing
  • Support customer's part qualification including PPAP preparation
  • Support factory audit and to be ready to travel
  • Define priority among customer corrective actions

Requirements For Engineer - Customer Quality Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality function in semiconductor industry
  • Minimum 1 years' hands on customer support / customer Quality engineering
  • Hands on knowledge / application of Quality tools, statistics and problem solving techniques
  • BT/Wifi system operation knowledge highly desirable
  • Automotive quality understanding
  • Strong semiconductor Quality experience
  • IC testing understanding
  • IC reliability knowledge
