Engineer, Principal

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their Cloud Computing team, focusing on developing cutting-edge Machine Learning solutions. This role is part of the team behind Qualcomm's Cloud AI 100 accelerators, currently deployed at AWS / Cirrascale Cloud and various large organizations.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing hardware and software solutions for Machine Learning applications across data center, edge, infrastructure, and automotive markets. The position requires working closely with ODMs/OEMs/Customers to integrate ML accelerators into servers and prepare them for large-scale deployments in Cloud/edge environments.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, and C++. You'll need strong leadership abilities to supervise team members and collaborate with executive leadership. Your role will be critical in making technical decisions that significantly impact program and product success.

Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise through presentations, leading system architecture development, debugging complex customer issues, and writing technical documentation. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll interact with high-level representatives across functions and customer personnel.
