Description For Engineer, Senior Staff/Manager - TAM Automotive Cockpit

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Customer Engineering Account Manager to lead complex automotive programs. This Staff/Manager level position requires a seasoned professional with 13+ years of experience in embedded systems and automotive program management. The role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management, requiring deep knowledge of embedded software architecture, Linux systems, and automotive technologies.

The position involves working directly with Qualcomm's automotive customers, managing project milestones, and serving as the final escalation point for technical issues. You'll be responsible for tracking and driving resolution of customer-reported issues, communicating with executive teams, and managing relationships with suppliers and partner organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, particularly with heterogeneous compute platforms including ARMs, GPUs, and DSPs. Technical skills should include proficiency in C/C++ programming, understanding of Linux kernel internals, and knowledge of hypervisor implementation in automotive systems.

Responsibilities For Engineer, Senior Staff/Manager - TAM Automotive Cockpit

  • Drive execution of complex, multidisciplinary automotive programs
  • Work with Qualcomm Automotive customers
  • Track Customer Project Milestones, SOP Schedules, FROP, Upgrade Schedules
  • Documentation collecting, prioritizing, tracking
  • Drive customer-reported issues to resolution/closure
  • Communicate issue status to customers and internal executive teams
  • Work with engineering, Quality, product management, and sales teams
  • Be the Final CE Final Escalation Point for all regions
  • Manage Qualcomm identified Suppliers and partner organizations

Requirements For Engineer, Senior Staff/Manager - TAM Automotive Cockpit

Linux
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 13+ years in embedded domain with experience in heterogeneous compute platforms
  • Experience in managing automotive programs in Technical Account management roles
  • Understanding of Embedded Software architecture
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals
  • Understanding of hypervisor and automotive embedded systems
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Good leadership skills across broad and diverse functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
