Description For FY25 Intern - Engineering Systems - 6 Months, Nuremberg

Qualcomm Germany GmbH is seeking a motivated student for a 6-month internship in their modem technology department in Nuremberg. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge 5G technology at one of the world's leading semiconductor companies. The position focuses on PHY algorithm development and implementation for 5G NR communication modems, combining both theoretical knowledge and practical implementation skills.

The intern will be involved in developing and testing algorithms for data communication modems, working specifically with 5G NR Rel-15/16/17 technologies. Requirements For FY25 Intern - Engineering Systems - 6 Months, Nuremberg

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
  • Currently pursuing MSc or PhD
  • Good background of digital communications theory and signal processing
  • Solid knowledge about mobile communication systems
  • Experience in Matlab and C++
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Coursework in communication theory, signal processing, error correcting codes, information theory, probability and random processes, digital communications
