Qualcomm China is seeking a Game Power Test Engineer/Sr to join their Engineering Group in Shanghai, China. This role involves testing and modifying general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware, with a focus on mobile power product test execution for Gaming related user scenarios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting product testing and providing reliable test data and reports across different functional teams
- Performing power breakdown for Gaming user scenarios and capturing related logs to analyze sub-system behavior
- Navigating platform/device issues and providing analysis to identify root causes
- Supporting internal feature development testing and involvement in feature design
- Optimizing test procedures, developing test cases, and extending test check points
- Supporting customer-reported issues and related feature development testing
- Mastering power-related knowledge and identifying potential power optimizations via testing
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3 to 10 years of system testing or software development experience in Power/Performance, CPU/GPU/DDR areas
- Good understanding of system power or performance, with related test and development experience
- Knowledge of CPU Scheduler/GPU/NSP, Kernel, embedded systems, and Linux/Android framework
- Experience with Android-related system testing and good analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across teams
- Familiarity with hardware and PMIC is a plus
- Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
