Description For Game Test Engineer

Qualcomm China is seeking a Game Test Engineer to join their team in Shenzhen, China. This role focuses on game testing, including performance, power, and thermal aspects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for regular testing of top games, tracking game upgrades, designing test plans, executing tests, analyzing data, and following up on issues. They will also conduct game research and profiling, communicate with game studios and development teams, and explore new technologies related to mobile and PC gaming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting game tests for performance, power, and thermal aspects
  • Designing and executing test plans based on game upgrades
  • Analyzing test data and following up on issues
  • Researching and profiling games
  • Communicating with game studios and development teams
  • Exploring new gaming technologies
  • Supporting other test work as needed, such as feature testing and event support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Strong data sensitivity and logical skills
  • Familiarity with game performance/power testing (preferred)
  • Experience with mobile and PC games (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Android and Linux commands (a plus)
  • Basic written and reading skills in both Chinese and English
  • Quick learner with an open mind and enthusiasm for work
  • Proficiency in Python, data processing, and understanding of performance metrics
