Description For Gaming Customer Engineer

As a Qualcomm Gaming Customer Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting OEMs to commercialize Snapdragon advanced gaming features, such as FRC, Frame Interpolation, Super Resolution etc.
  • Supporting OEMs on game optimization including both performance and power.
  • Supporting OEMs on competitive analysis, including both CPU and GPU.
  • Working with internal teams on feature evaluation and commercialization.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year experience, or PhD in related field.
  • 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
  • Excellent skill in C/C++ programming.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Quick learner with high motivation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in game performance and power analysis.
  • Experience with 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX).
  • Knowledge of Android framework, BufferQueue, SurfaceFlinger.
  • Experience with game rendering technology and game engines (Unity, UE).
  • AI/ML experience.
  • Passion for gaming and familiarity with popular games.
  • Ability to read/write English documents, with good listening and oral English skills.
