Description For Gaming Software Engineer

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Gaming Software Engineer to join their team in Shenzhen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge gaming technologies and features. As a Gaming Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing gaming features, working on performance and power optimization, and conducting competitive analysis of CPU and GPU technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, with experience in game performance and power analysis. Knowledge of 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX) and advanced rendering technology, including both traditional rasterizer and ray tracing pipeline, is highly valued. The position requires a collaborative mindset, as you'll be working closely with internal teams on feature evaluation and commercialization.

Responsibilities For Gaming Software Engineer

  • Commercialize gaming features, such as Super resolution, frame interpolation etc.
  • Work on game optimization including both performance and power
  • Work on competitive analysis, including both CPU and GPU
  • Work with internal team on feature evaluation, and commercialization

Requirements For Gaming Software Engineer

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python
  • Excellent skill of C/C++ programming
  • Must have good communication skills and be a team player
  • Ability to learn quickly with high motivation
  • Able to read/write English documents
