Description For Gaming Software Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking talented software developers for their China gaming team to work on gaming-related development on Qualcomm's platforms. As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm produces many of the best mobile SOCs on the market, embedded in industry-leading mobile phone chips. The role involves designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs for cutting-edge, world-class products.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Commercializing gaming features such as Super resolution and frame interpolation
  2. Working on game optimization for both performance and power
  3. Conducting competitive analysis for both CPU and GPU
  4. Collaborating with internal teams on feature evaluation and commercialization

The ideal candidate should have:

  1. Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  2. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  3. Quick learning ability and high motivation
  4. Experience in game performance and power analysis (preferred)
  5. Knowledge of 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX) is a plus
  6. Experience with advanced rendering technology, including traditional rasterizer and ray tracing pipeline, is beneficial
  7. Ability to read/write English documents
  8. Good listening and oral English skills are a plus
