Description For Gaming Software Engineer

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Gaming Software Engineer to join their team in Shanghai, China. As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs for cutting-edge, world-class products that meet and exceed customer needs. You'll collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Commercializing gaming features such as Super resolution and frame interpolation
  2. Working on game optimization for both performance and power
  3. Conducting competitive analysis for CPU and GPU
  4. Collaborating with internal teams on feature evaluation and commercialization

The ideal candidate should have:

  1. Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  2. Good communication skills and be a team player
  3. Quick learning ability with high motivation
  4. Experience in game performance and power analysis (a plus)
  5. Experience with 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX) is a plus
  6. Knowledge of advanced rendering technology, including traditional rasterizer and ray tracing pipeline (a plus)
  7. Ability to read/write English documents
  8. Good listening and oral English skills (a plus)

Requirements For Gaming Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Excellent skill of C/C++ programming
  • Good communication skills and be a team player
  • Ability to learn quickly with high motivation
  • Able to read/write English documents
