Description For Infra Systems Physical Architect

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Infra Systems Physical Architect to join their ASIC Engineering team. This role is crucial in designing and optimizing Network on Chip (NoC) architectures for high-performance, high-quality, low-power world-class products.

As a Physical Architect, you'll be at the forefront of designing optimized NoC solutions that are highly floorplan-driven. You'll work with cross-functional teams to determine product execution paths and create architectures that achieve the best possible performance, power, and area metrics.

The role combines deep technical expertise in ASIC design with architectural planning skills. You'll be responsible for developing custom methodologies for NoC implementation, working with various aspects from synthesis to physical design, including clock tree planning, power analysis, and timing optimization.

Key technical areas include AMBA Protocol implementation, cache coherency mechanisms, physical aware synthesis, DFT, and custom placement and routing. You'll need to leverage your expertise in various tools like Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler, Primetime, and others, while utilizing programming skills in Python, TCL, and Unix shell scripting.

This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in AI, automotive, and high-performance computing domains. You'll be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in system-on-chip design, contributing to next-generation experiences and innovations.

The role comes with competitive compensation, including a comprehensive benefits package, annual bonus opportunities, and RSU grants. Qualcomm provides a supportive environment for career growth with continuous learning opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and mentorship programs.

Join Qualcomm to be part of a team that's shaping the future of technology through innovative chip design and architecture. Your expertise will directly impact the development of next-generation SoCs that power AI, automotive, and communication solutions worldwide.
