Description For IT Program Manager/Release Train Engineer (RTE), Staff

Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking a Staff-level IT Program Manager/Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join their dynamic team. This role represents a unique opportunity to lead and coordinate multiple strategic work efforts within the IP, Legal and Licensing areas of one of the world's leading technology companies.

The position combines traditional program management excellence with modern Agile methodologies, particularly focusing on SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) implementation. As an RTE, you'll be responsible for facilitating Agile Release Train events and processes, while ensuring the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programs.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of program management experience, with a strong background in working with senior leadership and managing large-scale initiatives in a matrix organization. Your expertise in both traditional project management and Agile methodologies will be crucial in driving successful outcomes.

Key aspects of the role include developing and executing plans of record, managing budgets and resources, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives. You'll be responsible for tracking metrics, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure program success.

What makes this role particularly compelling is the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and legal/IP operations, requiring a unique blend of technical program management skills and business acumen. You'll be supporting critical business functions while helping to drive Qualcomm's broader Lean-Agile transformation.

The position offers competitive compensation ($159,000 - $238,400) and comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, financial planning support, and professional development opportunities. You'll be working from Qualcomm's San Diego office, collaborating with talented professionals in a company known for innovation and technological leadership.

This role is ideal for an experienced program manager who excels at stakeholder management, has a strong track record of delivering complex programs, and is passionate about Agile methodologies.
