Description For Lead Engineer, Senior - Video Embedded

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Senior Lead Video Embedded Engineer to join their team in Hyderabad. This role sits at the intersection of embedded systems and multimedia technology, focusing on developing cutting-edge video solutions for mobile platforms.

The position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art video processing technologies and frameworks, including Codec2, OpenMAX, GStreamer, and StageFright. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing video processing pipelines for various media applications, from playback to streaming.

As a Lead Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, hardware, and architecture engineers, to create robust system-level software solutions. The role requires expertise in C/C++ and Java programming, with a strong foundation in multimedia embedded systems and real-time operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of video codec formats (H.264, HEVC, VP9, AV1), V4L2 framework, and multimedia file formats. Experience with ARM architectures and video processing algorithms is highly valued.
